About

Iona is the coolest vineyard in the Cape, 420m above sea level, high above the picturesque Elgin Valley. Iona is surrounded by the Kogelberg Nature Reserve and overlooks the Atlantic Ocean in the south. In a country where cool sites are precious, these vineyards are like gold — the grapes ripen up to two months later than other Cape vineyards.

Product Features

• Mr P is fresh with vibrant acidity and a long textured, savoury finish. 
• Beautiful ripe strawberries, raspberries, cranberries and sweet spice on the nose, with subtle hints of forest floor and wild mushrooms.
• It is an excellent combination of old world meets new world.
• Enjoy on its own, or pair with duck, roast chicken, and even pan-fried salmon.
• Nebbiolo is perfumed with a floral nose of rose petals, intense aromas of red fruit, red cherry, raspberries and underlying spice notes.
• Vibrant acidity and fine grained chalky tannins make this a powerful and exceptional age worthy wine.
• Enjoy on its own or with duck breast with cherry reduction and rosemary potatoes.
