Sourced from the cool climate of Elgin in the Overberg. This region is becoming known for producing some of the countries finest wines. Because of the cooler climate, the grapes have increased hang time leading to incredibly elegant, yet flavoursome wines.

Product Features:

• This wine shows dark yet translucent hues of ruby red with a lifted bouquet of pomegranates, red plums and black cherries and a hint of wood spice. 
• The palate has a layered and poised structure and exhibits a compelling blend of red berry fruit flavours, earthiness and savoury notes. 
• Fine and integrated tannins ensure a long, satisfying finish. A wine with considerable class and a real sense of place.
• The 2016 vintage saw 20% new oak barrels being used with the remainder being made up of second and third fill barrels. 
• The wine was not racked during the 11-month elevation period, whereafter it was bottled with care and dedication.
