About

A mixed case from one of the regions favourite artisanal producers. Inland from Doringbaai on the West Coast of South Africa, the producer is making some incredibly delicious, slightly off-centre, award-winning wines. If you're either exploring the world of artisanal wines or can not keep your hands off those, left of field producers, we would highly recommend tapping into this one.

Product Features

West Coast White 2019

Grenache Blanc, Rousanne & Viognier. The grapes were picked at full ripeness, resulting in an expressive wine, displaying intense flavours of melon, peach, pear, pineapple, lychee and apricot on the nose. Matured in French oak barrels for 5 months, the mouthfeel is almost viscous with a lingering finish on the palate. The wine is meant to be enjoyed young, to get the full bouquet of fresh fruit flavours. The wine can be enjoyed on its own or with white meat, roast pork, creamy dishes or a variety of light seafood dishes.

  • ABV: 14%

West Coast Red 2016

Syrah, Mourvedre, Viognier. This medium-bodied red wine portrays ripe red raspberry through to plums, violets, slight aniseed, pepper and other spicy aromas on the nose that carries through to the palate. Well-integrated tannins ensure a smooth wine, with layered complexity. The wine will age for up to 8 years after release. Ideal to be enjoyed on its own in winter or slightly chilled in summer evenings and will go well with firm cheeses, charcuterie, lamb or game dishes.

  • ABV: 13%

We'd bet anything that the poncho was designed by a man

And you know how we know this?

Simple: it's simple. Cut a hole in a piece of fabric and call it a day simple.

The poncho is the clothing equivalent of the Japanese flag. If we were to list step-by-step instructions on how to make one yourself, there'd be no Step Two.

If you're wondering how this ties into today's deals, it doesn't. These are just the things we think about when we're tasked with writing blurbs but we're completely out of inspiration.
