Johnnie Walker® Blue Label™ King George V™ Edition is one of the most distinctive blends ever created in the past century and embodies the essence of the 1930s which is considered the golden era of whisky.

Heritage

This unique, extremely rare blend was created in celebration of the first Royal Warrant granted to John Walker and Sons Ltd to supply Scotch whisky to the British Royal Household in 1934, as recognition of the quality and appeal of its whisky. Staying true to its heritage, Johnnie Walker® Blue Label™ King George V™ Edition is handmade in the same tradition of Johnnie Walker® Blue Label™. It is handcrafted using the original techniques practiced during the era and only whiskies from distilleries operating during the reign of King George V have been used. Many of these whiskies have been carefully matured for decades; among them is the exceptional Port Ellen™, the highly prized Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, which gives Johnnie Walker® Blue Label™ King George V™ its signature flavour. The distillery at Port Ellen™ no longer exists and the remaining stock is carefully preserved and has steadily appreciated in value due to its absolute scarcity.

• Nose: Profound smoky initial aroma, followed by sweet fresh fruit (apples, pears, bananas) malt characteristics; developing into rich dried fruit/spicy complexity (raisins, figs, cinnamon).
• Taste: Powerful, complex and rich, yet exceptionally smooth.
• Finish: Rich, mouth-warming and lingering rich peaty finish.
