This is a special older vintage that has been matured in optimal conditions by the Distell Vinoteque at Die Bergkelder in Stellenbosch.

Allesverloren, situated on the south-eastern slopes of the Kasteelberg near Riebeek West, is the oldest estate in the Swartland Wine of Origin district and is renowned for its red wines and Fine Old Vintage. The farm, which dates back to 1704, began producing wine exactly one century later.

Product Features

• Aged in second- and third-fill 400-litre and larger French oak barrels for a period of 20 months
• Deep ruby red in colour.
• Smells like Christmas, with mulled wine, roasted chestnuts and brandy fruitcake. 
• Fine balance between acidity and alcohol on the palate that has nut praline, finished off with lingering spicy fruit and a hint of dark chocolate. 
• Ready to warm any winter. 
• Enjoy from 2021 through to 2025 and further.
• Excellent enjoyed on its own or served with cheese and desserts.
