1x Chenin Blanc 2023

  • The juice was sent to barrel and inoculated in two separate batches. 
  • Fermentation was completed in barrel and the wine kept on its lees until bottling.
  • Grapes were whole bunch pressed and settled overnight to achieve good clarity of juice.
  • This fruit-focused and supple Chenin blanc shows notes of fresh stone fruit, pear and sweet melon with the floral aroma of peach blossom.
  • The tropical hint of pineapple on the palate is complemented by a delicate taste of beeswax which adds a creamy texture.
  • The wine finishes with a pithy line of citrus and a vibrant, lingering acidity.
  • Enjoy with pork belly with apple sauce.
  • Alcohol by Volume: 13.5%

1x Shiraz 2022

  • Made from Shiraz grapes grown on Koffieklip-rich soils.
  • This wine shows fresh black cherry, plum and chocolate complimented by cedar spice. Spicy notes of black pepper, cinnamon and cloves are layered atop black cherry and chocolate. The palate shows fresh plum and violets, and finishes with a well-rounded velvety tannin.
  • Michael Fridjhon: “Crimson-edged, black cerise. Restrained, slightly brooding black fruit aromas. Hints of Morello cherry, olivaceous whiffs. Textural and dense with restrained fruit, all well integrated. Poised for the moment but well structured and ready to open up shortly. “
  • The palate is soft and juicy with a long velvety finish.
  • Enjoy with various red meat dishes, especially beef. Burgers, Pizzas or just on its own.

1x Chardonnay 2023

  • Fermentation was completed in barrel and the wine kept on its lees until bottling.
  • The wine remained in 225L French oak barrels on its lees for 10 months before blending, of which 25% were first-fill barrels.
  • Notes of lime, orange and nectarine underpin a unique tropical hint of pineapple and mango.
  • The oak is well integrated on the palate, showing as a delicate spice and vanilla, complemented by the tangier taste of lime on the palate. 
  • Some buttery brioche adds to the body and mid-palate of the wine, creating a multi-layered taste that is both complex but fresh and enjoyable.
  • Enjoy with Creamy pastas, brie and camembert cheese and any zesty dish.
  • Alcohol by Volume: 13%

1x Reserve White 2023

  • This blend of 60% Chenin Blanc,30% Verdelho,6% Chardonnay and 4 % Viognier was a small batch fermented in 27% first-fill French Oak barriques for 6 months.
  • The Verdelho block is the 2nd oldest block in SA.
  • A truly unique blend showcasing the best of the Helderberg region.
  • Notes of orange blossom and spice lead to bountifully layers of fruit: yellow grapefruit, peach and apricot with a tropical undertone of gooseberry and guava
  • The wild fermented Verdelho brings delicate white fruit and a bright, lingering acidity that produces the freshest of finishes 
  • Alcohol by Volume: 13.2%

1x Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

  • Awards: Gilbert & Gaillard Double Gold, John Platter 4.5 star – 2024
  • Michael Fridjhon: “Maroon-edged, deep vermillion. Cassis and bruised raspberry aromas, savoury and fresh. On the palate, the tannins are evident but not intrusive and add an element of freshness to the mid-palate and the finish.”
  • Maturation took place in 225L French oak barriques for 24 months (approximately 30% first fill).
  • Medium-bodied with Aromas of blackberry, dark chocolate and coffee. Layers of vanilla and cigar box compliment a richly structured palate with a plush, lingering finish.
  • Enjoy with Lamb, mushroom risotto or a juicy rib eye steak.
  • Alcohol by Volume: 14%

1x Warlord 2020

  • Awards: Double Gold National Wine Challenge, Double Gold Michelangelo, Gilbert & Gaillard Double Gold , 91 Points Tim Atkin, 4.5 Star John Platter.
  • A blend of Cabernet, Malbec and Petit Verdot, all grown on the Estate.
  • The Cabernet Sauvignon was fermented in stainless steel with 3-4 pumpovers daily. The Malbec and Petit Verdot were fermented in small open-top vessels with manual punchdowns 3-5 times daily
  • Maturation took place in 225L French oak barriques for 22 months (approximately 35% first fill)
  • Dark, intense ruby colour while the nose shows complex smokey and savoury notes, both dark and red fruits, vanilla, dark chocolate and liquorice
  • Notes of fresh plum, blackforest cake and cedar spice. The wine shows a delicate mid-palate with a soft, rounded tannin that complements a well-balanced acidity
  • Pairs well with red meat dishes, and hearty stews
  • Varietals: 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Malbec & 16% Petit Verdot
  • Alcohol by Volume: 14%
