Edgebaston Vineyard, situated in the foothills of the Simonsberg Mountain in the Northern reaches of the Stellenbosch wine region, is the home of David Finlayson's range of premium wines. With over 25 years of winemaking experience in South Africa and a number of wineries around the World, David Finlayson is a name synonymous with producing wines from top-quality Burgundian and Bordeaux grape varieties alike. Born and raised in Stellenbosch, a third-generation grape grower and vintner, David and his family purchased the run-down Edgebaston Farm in 2004 and began replanting and rebuilding to create the picturesque 30-hectare vineyard that is the Edgebaston Vineyard today.

• Aroma: Green apple, flinty notes, and tropical fruits
• Palate: Crisp acidity with a creamy midpalate, soft and round with French Loire-style influence
• Pairs well with shellfish, light seafood dishes, and fresh green salads

2x Chardonnay 2024

• Awards: Tim Atkin 2025 Score 91
• Previous Awards: 4 Star Platter, 96 Points & Best Value Decanter Award, Gold Vitis VInifera, Best Valye Gilbert & Gaillard.
• Matured for ten months in French oak, 10 % new French oak, 45 % 2nd fill French oak, and 45 % 3rd fill French oak.
• The wine shows an elegant minerality with lime-citrus, sourdough and cinnamon flavours. 
• The tight minerality keeps a wonderful acid grip on the palate showing good aging potential. 
• A floral note of wild, white flowers such as frangipani and almond blossom is obvious on the front of the nose and follows through the palate.
• The ideal accompaniment to foods such as paella, quail and pork
• Alcohol by Volume: 13.31%

2x The Pepper Pot Blend 2023

• Previous awards: 4 Star Platter, Gold Michelangelo.
• Made from grown grapes in the Stellenbosch and Paarl regions, this wine is created to show the fresh, fruity and spice-driven flavours of these Rhône varietals.  
• The colour is youthful and purple/red.  
• The nose is one of crushed black pepper.
• Pure, clean dark red berry flavours flow onto a smooth palate with sufficient structure.
• Enjoy with food such as gourmet pizza with carpaccio and rocket salad.
• Alcohol by Volume: 14.11%
