About

The Quoin Rock Vine Dried Sauvignon blanc 2012 is made of 100% Sauvignon blanc grapes from a vineyard established in 1983 on the slopes of the Simonsberg Mountain in Stellenbosch. The Simonsberg region is known for its rich granite soils and moderate climate which leads to the creation of intense and elegant wines.

Barrel-aged 2013  unctuously smooth & rich, with subtle fig & barley sugar flavours. Shade off acid & fruit intensity of 2012, still decadently delicious dessert, on its own or with cheeses.

A prominent and complex nose of dried pineapple and mango, with roasted and sweet spices is supported by a fascinating and refreshing palate of apricot pips and honey. The wine is in great harmony and concludes with a tangy mouth-filling sweetness.

Ideally served chilled at around 6-8˚C and can be served as an aperitif. It pairs well with foie gras, fruit-based desserts, cheese or as an ice-cream topping.

The first public holiday of 2018!

Yes, we know that January 1st was a public holiday too but as far as we're concerned that's an extension of December. The year only really begins when you're expected to be in the office five days a week.

We have so many plans for today. We're actually dangerously close to the line of "too many", where you get overwhelmed, cancel everything and stay in instead.

Public holidays don't happen very often you know. Today is 8.5% of ALL the public holidays 2018 has in store. Can't waste a second.

And yet here you are, taking a slice out of your day off to spend some time with us.

Thanks for that.
