Since the late 1400s, The Merchants have been sailing to the Cape of Storms to find fame and fortune. By 1652, the Peninsula was renamed “The Cape of Good Hope”. But the reality remained – more than half of the ships wrecked in the pursuit of finding land. However, once through the storms, the reward was well worth the journey: the climate was perfect for cultivating vines and making the very best wine. Today, the journey in and out is less perilous, but we still celebrate The Merchants, the men and women who risked their lives to bring us wines from the far corners of the world. A story of travel, from vine to table.
We're quite proud of ourselves. Ten years on and we're a respected and established brand in SA.
Where were you at ten years old? Addicted to both video games and annoying your parents, that's where.
Anyway to celebrate, we're kicking off the biggest online party the internet has seen since #susanalbumparty.
We wouldn't have made it this far without our loyal customers, so there's no way we're celebrating without you!
