About

48 is not just a number. To the distillers who developed it, recipe 48 represented perfection. Knowing they had created something exceptional, with its 11 botanicals, this gin could not be contained. It had to be shared.

Product Features
  • 48 Platinum Black
    • A soft and pleasant savoury aroma dominates this gin while juniper takes a backseat. Honeydew, vanilla and caramel notes lends a sweeter dynamic while soft citrus and mineral complexity adds to produce a very inviting gin.
    • On the palate, a sweet and savoury taste soon gives way to warm but very well-integrated alcohol. A relatively short body with lingering orris root makes for a versatile mixing gin - in tonic or bitter lemon, the spirit has a high drinkability. A modern interpretation of a classic dry gin.
  • 48 Pink Gin
    • Juniper notes come forward on the nose but are equally matched by floral, rose aromas. Underneath an assortment of pepper, coriander seeds, cardamom and angelica root.
    • A smoothly integrated alcohol gives the interpretation of a sweeter liquid. Flowers are quickly replaced with a mild peppery bite and rich coffee flavours. Turkish delight lingers on the palate. Mixing with tonic water gives a more complex, sophisticated and elegant cocktail but is still versatile enough to enjoy at a casual occasion.

Dreams are weird.

They're like your brain's way of saying: you know what the world really needs? Nonsensical storylines that nobody questions. And flying cars.

And even though we know they're absolutely bonkers and possess zero relevance whatsoever, we waste no time telling people all about them.

Sad fact: nobody wants to hear it. There is only one dream worth talking about, and that's Martin Luther King Jr's.

Anyhoo, last night we had a dream where we featured half-off tickets to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers live at the Department of Home Affairs. They weren't even performing. They just worked there. Crazy, huh?
