Chamarel produces two very distinct styles of rum: premium rum using continuous distillation in a barbet column, and double-distilled rum using discontinuous distillation in a pot still. Here we have a double distillation, 100% pot still with approximately four times the ester count of the regular barbet column still. Full ageing in an Oloroso sherry butt filled 15/10/2014

• Colour: Deep golden brown
• Nose: Wet tobacco leaf immediately transports you into a cigar lounge. Wild herbs in the back, dried apricots at the front, dried apples and a little cinnamon
• Palate: Milk chocolate combined with some wafer in the middle. Digging deeper, we pick up banana chips, sultanas, caramelised sugar and wild herbs
• Finish: Luxurious, milk chocolate coating and full
