Afrikaans is made to be accessible but structured with rich, ripe fruit to appeal to the palate and encourage another sip. A wine for every occasion, without complication, without pretension. Welcoming and exuberant, Afrikaans is made for sharing. A poem entitled My Taal (My Language), each vintage written by a prominent South African, adorns the back label of the wine. Volume IV was written by singer Adam Tas. It speaks eloquently of the Afrikaans language, and through its words, brings these wines to life.

Product Features

• The must undergoes a slow, cool fermentation process in a combination of vessels, including new and seasoned oak barrels. 
• After fermentation, the wine is matured on the fine lees for 6 months for texture and mouthfeel. 15% new oak is used.
• Bright aromas of ruby grapefruit, elderflower and nectarine create intrigue on the nose. 
• Medium-bodied with a backbone of peach and citrus, and succulent acidity to balance the fruitiness that fills the palate.
• Enjoy with creamy pasta dishes.
