About

Warwick Estate is a high-end winery in the Stellenbosch region. The estate has a rich farming history dating back to 1771. Then a fruit farm, Warwick only emerged at the forefront of South Africa’s wine scene when Stan and Norma Ratcliffe bought the estate in 1964 and started developing the land with an extensive focus on the classic Bordeaux varieties: Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Product Features
  • Award: 94 Points & Top 10 WineMag Prescient Report.
  • Previous vintage award: 98 Points and Trophy for the best Pinotage at the Trophy Wine Show, Top 10 ABSA Pinotage, Double Gold Michelangelo.
  • Aged for 14 months with various types of oak used, none new.
  • The nose shows dark cherries, strawberries, bitter chocolate and cured meat.
  • The palate is light and lively with great fruit and fine powdery tannins with the same cherry notes following through onto the palate along with rooibos tea and a touch of oak spice.
  • This wine is ready for drinking (try and stop yourself – you just can’t) but can be aged for 3-5 years.
  • Pairs well with barbecued pork spare ribs.

Lap it up

Isn't it weird how quickly life happens and household items lose their use but keep their old names? Those of us born before the year 2000 are still familiar with the concept of a 'landline' or 'home phone', even if no one really has those anymore. Even if every form you fill out thinks you still do.

When Bill Gates wowed the world, many people rushed out to buy what we still call a PC. Funnily enough, when working in an office, 'Personal Computer' doesn't really make sense, since it's not yours but the company's... unless you spill a full glass of orange juice on it. Then it's definitely yours.

Some years later, the laptop came out and was praised as being a computer you could work from, literally on your lap. That's not untrue, but then why do most of us who work on them, still do so on a desk? It's all just so confusing, really.

You know what's NOT confusing? Our incredible deal on a 14" modern laptop from MSI.

OR THE FACT that, today, we'll be dropping ALL our R13 deals again! If you missed out the first time, now's your chance!
