Product Features

• This Syrah is a Will and Miller exclusive from Stellenbosch’s Polkadraai Hills
• Sourced from the best vineyards on Saxenburg, all planted on decomposed granite soils
• Careful canopy management and crop control ensures they get the best out of each of their vineyards
• After pressing, the wine was transferred to French oak barrels for 12 months (30% new)
• The wine was then blended and left to mature further in tank before bottling
• Beautifully intense colour, the nose has alluring notes of ripe dark fruit and berries, think plums and blackberries, wonderfully supported by notes of ground black pepper and sweet oak spice
• The palate is wonderfully structured and dense, but a bright acidity ensures the wine maintains freshness
• The tannins are fine and provide just enough grip to add real interest to the wine
• Paired perfectly with a red meat dish
