The mountain vineyards of Piekenierskloof are known to produce outstanding grapes sourced from dryland bush vines, planted since 1962. With extreme temperatures and a mix of sandstone and shale soils, these elements blend together to produce a terroir that guarantees each vintage is an icon in the making.

• This is a new vintage that has not been rated yet.
• Previous vintage awards: Gold (95 Points) Decanter 2022, 4 Star Platter, Gold at the Niche Red Variety Awards.
• Grapes are sourced from vineyards in the Piekenierskloof region from vineyards that were planted in 1973. 
• Wine is matured for 12 months in inert 500L French oak barrels.
• Lots of juicy red berry, strawberry, earthy and elegant notes of pepper on the palate with hints of cloves, cardamom pods and smokiness.
• Well balanced with lively fine tannins and an elegant complexity on a long finish.
• Enjoy with rich cheeses.
