This beautiful Rhône-style blend is the newest addition to the Vrede en Lust range. The vineyard development at Vrede en Lust over the past couple of years included the planting of Grenache and Viognier, giving us scope to produce more Rhône-style red wines. 

The wine was originally named after Jacques de Savoye as a tribute to the first owner of the property in 1688. In 2020 the wine was renamed Ella, after the owner’s youngest daughter.

• Appearance: Deep ruby red
• Aromas: An elegantly styled wine with aromas of violets, and concentrated red fruit followed through with a soft, juicy palate and well-rounded tannins.
• Flavours: Rich and smooth, with flavours of raspberry, Sandalwood, and red fruit; well-integrated tannins and a lingering finish
• Character: Elegant and complex with a Rhône-style personality
• Enjoy with Grilled meat or strong cheese
• Ageing Potential: Enjoy now or within 3 to 5 years
