Situated near Stellenbosch, Spier is one of South Africa’s oldest wine farms with a recorded winemaking history dating back to 1692. While rooted in this heritage, we've got a vibrant and conscious energy, and are home to one of the largest collections of contemporary South African art.

 Product Features

• Awards: Double Gold Veritas and winner of the Vertex award for the top wine at the Veritas 2021 competition, 93 Points Tim Atkin, Gold Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, Silver Decanter, Silver Mundus Vini.
• A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec.
• Malolactic fermentation and maturation took place in 300L French oak barrels for 18 months (60% first fill; the balance second fill). 
• Wines were individually crafted for each varietal to reach its highest potential. 
• Selective tasting determined the composition and expert blending ensured harmony between the five varietals.
• Deep, ruby red in colour.
• On the nose blackberry, cherry and blackcurrant is supported by cedar, dark chocolate and hints of fennel.
• The vibrant palate has great balance and dense tannins.
• The palate will be enhanced by ageing.
• Enjoy with slow-cooked oxtail, a beef casserole, or wild mushroom risotto.
