Situated near Stellenbosch, Spier is one of South Africa’s oldest wine farms with a recorded winemaking history dating back to 1692. While rooted in this heritage, we've got a vibrant and conscious energy, and are home to one of the largest collections of contemporary South African art.

Product Features

• Awards: 4.5 Star Platter, 90 Points International Wine & Spirits Competition.
• A blend of Shiraz, Mourvèdre, and Viognier.
• The varietals were fermented and matured separately to develop their unique characteristics and express the terroir accurately.
• Free-run wine was racked to barrel for malolactic fermentation and maturation in 90% French and 10% American oak 300L barrels (50% first fill, 50% second fill), for 16 months.
• Subtle perfumed notes of violets, black cherry and mulberry are followed by spicy flavours of black pepper and fennel.
• The silky, rich mid-palate is complemented with concentrated fruit and dense, silky tannins.
• Serve with smoked pork belly or a mildly spicy Indian vegetable curry.
