About

The Rothschild family’s winemaking history is rooted in France, where James de Rothschild purchased the premier Bordeaux estate Château Lafite in 1868. He began a love affair with the vine that was to be continued over 100 years later by his great-grandson, Baron Edmond de Rothschild. Motivated by a dream to shape some of the finest wines the world over, Baron Edmond de Rothschild established several wineries in Europe, and later, in numerous far-flung corners of the globe – a treasured collection that together form Edmond de Rothschild Heritage.

Product Features

• A red blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
• Matured for 16 months in French oak barrels.
• Aromas of red plum, raspberries and cherries are prominent, layered with forest floor and oak spice expressed as toasted caramel and walnut. 
• The palate has a fresh red fruit core with soft-textured tannins and good persistence.
• The wine has an ageing potential of at least 7 years from vintage.
• Pair this delicious wine with an oak-smoked duck breast, roasted baby beetroots, beetroot purée, crispy Jerusalem artichokes, and roasted cherry jus.
