Weltevrede is a historic family-owned wine estate in the Robertson Valley, with a winemaking heritage spanning over 100 years. Product Features

• Instead of providing lengthy descriptions about a multifaceted wine, we decided to simply capture its essence and highlight a prominent characteristic in the name, Cherrychoc - so we created this bold Merlot with a smooth finish with a clear-cut, simple and identifiable label.
• The colour is deep red. 
• On the nose you get prominent notes of ripe cherries and chocolate. 
• The mid-palate is chunky with intense flavours of cherries, plums, bitter espresso and a pleasant, dry finish of black pepper and dark chocolate.
• This Merlot goes well with braai meats, steak, meaty pasta dishes, smoked chicken, and pork.
