About
Cape Wine Company was founded in 2010 by Erlank Erasmus – qualified winemaker – on a quest to share the exceptional wines produced in the Cape Winelands of South Africa – with wine lovers across the world.
Given the rich history of our country, Cape Wine Company is also proud to give back to the communities that assist in producing our wines, from vine to bottle, through participating in the Fairtrade initiative.
This initiative ensures that farm communities in South African wine industry benefit through sustainability and equality.
Product Features
- Aroma: Vanilla and toasted almonds, with delicate oak notes that are seamlessly intertwined with ripe fruit aromas of pear, quince, yellow apple, and pineapple, while subtle floral hints and a touch of oak spice add depth and intrigue
- Palate: a perfect balance between the vibrant fruit and the gentle oak. Flavours of juicy pear, crisp apple, and lush peach unfold, enhanced by a creamy texture derived from the oak aging. Mid-palate, nuances of lemon curd and a soft nuttiness bring additional layers of complexity. The oak remains understated, supporting rather than overshadowing the wine's fresh fruit character
- Pairs well with seared white fish, lobster, or scallops in creamy sauces
Product Specifications
- Alcohol by Volume: 12.88%
