About

The farm was passed from the Bergh family to the Louw family who lived there for several generations before it was eventually acquired by Arend Brink in 1897. While the Brink family originated in the Cape, Arend was a transport rider between the diamond and gold fields up north before settling on this farm on the outskirts of Durbanville.

The complex and intriguing nose displays a melange of cool, crunchy tropical fruit, with passion fruit and guava dominating. The palate is still very youthful, with mouth-watering grapefruit and lemongrass notes along with cut grass and gooseberries.

Product Features
  • Nose: Bright and inviting, with aromas of ripe pear, white peach, and citrus blossom, supported by a gentle hint of wet stone and subtle flint.
  • Palate/Notes: The palate is fresh and well-balanced, offering juicy layers of stone fruit, crisp apple, and lemon zest. A fine mineral edge adds structure, while the clean acidity gives the wine lift and length. Elegant yet approachable, with a smooth, lingering finish.
  • Pairing: A versatile food wine—ideal with grilled seafood, creamy pastas, roast chicken, or soft cheeses. Also lovely as a refreshing aperitif on a warm day.
