A 2020 lockdown export project by wine marketers Janneman Solms & Dane Raath. A cheeky, colourful, upscaled solution to the “Prohibition Brown Paper Bag”, Jan put his design skills to use, collaborating with Dane to market and sell them through their few decades of wine industry connections.

Wines are made by high-ranking winemaking friends in the industry according to what the duo sees as gaps in various markets. The brand aims to draw in both wine snobs, geeks and wine newbies in an approachable and passionate manner.

Product Features

• Fermentation begins spontaneously and only punch downs were used for gentle extraction. 
• Wines are then basket pressed and aged for 12 months in seasoned barrels. 
• After 12 months the two components are blended and bottled. 
• A true reflection of a Cape Claret of old.
• A ruby hue. 
• Not too dark, classic and structured.
• Not overly ripe red and black berries, poised liquorice and aniseed aromas.
• Enjoy with Beef Bourguignon.
