About

Lourensford wines express their commitment as a family to the unique cultural treasures and land entrusted to us in the historic Lourensford Estate. Established by Governor Willem Adriaan van der Stel in 1709, Lourensford has a proud history as a world-class fruit farm and the wealth of glorious Proteas point to our rich floral heritage. Fortunately, the winemaking tradition was revived when well-known Cape businessman, Dr Christo Wiese purchased the Estate in 1998.

Product Features
  • The wine spent 6 months in tank on its primary lees before dosage and inoculated for bottle fermentation.
  • 13.2% of the wine was transferred to 205L second-fill and older French oak barrels halfway through fermentation and aged for 5 months.
  • The wine spent 32 months on its lees in bottle before it was riddled and disgorged.
  • The vibrant and fresh salmon pink colours bubbles are coated with strawberry, cherry and rose-water allure, infused with watermelon and grapefruit.
  • The red berry flavours attached to the fine elegant bubbles explode on the pallet and finish in a rich and creamy aftertaste.
  • A perfect aperitif for any occasion, but also pairs well with seafood-based canapes.
