Neethlingshof Estate lies just outside the beautiful town of Stellenbosch in the heart of the Cape Winelands. An iconic avenue of imposing stone pines marks the entrance to the farm, leading to the traditional “werf” of the estate. Established more than 300 years ago, Neethlingshof Estate boasts some of the best restored and preserved traditional Cape Dutch buildings, leaving visitors with a distinct sense of history and old-world charm. The beauty and charm of the farm and its surroundings have been vowing visitors for many years, and we are very focused on maintaining and enhancing the natural beauty of the landscape.

- After malolactic fermentation, the wine was matured for a period of 16 months in predominately French oak barrels.
- New oak barrels were used for 45% of the wine with the balance matured in second and third fill barrels.
- Deep red in colour.
- An abundance of ripe fruit is underlined by hints of tobacco, almonds and tea leaf aromas.
- A full-bodied wine with well-integrated flavours of sweet tobacco and cherry with spicy characteristics coming through on the palate.
- The wine is ready to drink now but will mature for a further 5 to 10 years from vintage.
- Enjoy on its own or with roast lamb or beef, game fish, spicy quinoa salad, stuffed aubergine or roasted vegetables.
