The Classic Selection range of prime cultivar-specific wines comprises distinct, carefully blended wines from different parts of the renowned Paarl wine region. Product Features
- After fermentation the wine was left on the lees for 7 to 8 months with regular lees stirring, resulting in a full wine with a creamy richness.
- This Chenin Blanc has not been matured in barrels in order to express the primary fruit flavours and minerality of the grapes which come from old Chenin Blanc vines.
- This traditional French method of creating a creamy richness with hints of oat biscuit notes, without the use of barrel-aging, is known as sur lie.
- This wine shows exceptional Chenin Blanc expression and elegance in a ripe and complex style.
- The seamless harmony of ripe melons and stone fruit with hints of tropical flavours blend together with creamy ripe textures, creating a wine of distinction and elegance.

Gel. Once upon a time, when you spoke of 'gel' it meant one thing and one thing only: a product you would smear in your hair to lock it in place and make it look wet (or oily) the whole day. Just think of any of the boy bands from the late 90s.
Nowadays, the word 'gel' can apply to many other things, like nail polish - "Did you see Juanita's gel nails the other day? They were really giving!" - shower gel, gel pens and even flammable gel for camping - though we still prefer a traditional braai, thanks very much.
