Vintage? A little cellar surprise. The vintage supplied will depend on availability at the time your order is placed, but you can always count on the same producer, the same varietal, and the same great wine.
Plaisir Wine Estate (formerly Plaisir de Merle) is a historic 961-hectare property founded in 1693 by French Huguenot Charles Marais at the foot of the Simonsberg mountain between Paarl and Franschhoek. Known for its decomposed granite soils and coastal breezes, it is one of the largest single wine estates in the Cape Winelands, holding WWF Conservation Champion status for protecting vast tracts of indigenous fynbos. Now owned by Michael and Rose Jordaan, the estate produces acclaimed Bordeaux red blends, Chardonnays, and Méthode Cap Classique (MCC) wines out of its historic cellar and 1823 tasting barn.
