The Gizzu Everglow Rechargeable Emergency LED Bulb is an ideal solution for keeping the lights on during loadshedding. The 9W lightbulb features a 27mm Edison/Bayonet light fixture and gives off a warm white colour when lit. Its 1800mAh built-in battery allows it to stay powered during loadshedding. The light bulb takes around 5 hours to fully charge to 100% and can easily be charged by simply leaving the light turned on when there’s no loadshedding. If your light is turned on and a power outage or loadshedding occurs, then the light bulb goes into emergency mode, changing to a cool white colour.
While in emergency mode, the brightness can be manually adjusted between three pre-configured settings and can sustain up to 5 hours of additional use during loadshedding, depending on the brightness level. The brightness can be adjusted by turning the light on and off in 1-second intervals multiple times. Each time this is done the brightness will switch between 25%, 50%, and 100%. Leaving the lightbulb off for a while will reset the brightness setting back to its default 100% brightness.
Smart Bulb Technology enables the bulb to determine if there is a power failure as opposed to the light switch being turned off. If the light switch is on and the power fails, the bulb activates emergency mode and switches from Warm White to Cool White. If the light switch is off when the power fails the light will remain off unless turned on at the switch.
Please note this light bulb only comes in an A70 size (70 mm widest diameter and 133 mm height), so please check ceiling light cover dimensions to ensure that it will fit when switching out any standard A60 size bulb (60mm diameter). This light features preset brightness levels that are selectable only in emergency mode and is not compatible with dimmable light switches.
It's no secret that things go in and out of fashion - some for better, some for worse. From middle partings and frosted tips to mullets and bell bottom jeans, you just never know which way the cookie will crumble.
For that reason, it's not a bad idea to keep those unfashionable clothes at the back of your cupboard, just in case you wake up one morning and an influencer has made headlines for bringing oversized camo pants back to the streets.
With that in mind, while loadshedding hasn't reared its ugly head in a while, it's not a bad idea to have something on hand just in case - like our deal on a Gizzu portable power station. You just never know.
