Rietvallei Wine Estate counts among South Africa’s oldest family-owned wine estates and was one of the first wine farms established in the picturesque Robertson Wine Valley. Rietvallei lies in the Klaas Voogds ward, a region with unique soil structures and climatic influences ideal for wine grape cultivation.

- This 100% Shiraz replaces the Shiraz-dominated blend of previous vintages.
- The wine is intense ruby red coloured and complex, expressing flavours of berry fruit, ground pepper spice and peachy fruit
- The palate is alive with berry fruit and the peppery, spicy and toasted oak flavours are well- integrated.
- A full-bodied wine with pleasant ripe tannins and a smooth, lingering aftertaste
- Malolactic fermentation.
- Mature for 12 months on 300l oak
- The Shiraz is from two vineyards planted in 1995 and 2005 respectively.

Anyhoo, last night we had a dream where we featured half off tickets to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers live at the Department of Home Affairs. They weren't even performing. They just worked there. Crazy, huh?
