About

Rietvallei Wine Estate counts among South Africa’s oldest family-owned wine estates and was one of the first wine farms established in the picturesque Robertson Wine Valley. Rietvallei lies in the Klaas Voogds ward, a region with unique soil structures and climatic influences ideal for wine grape cultivation.

Product Features
  • This is an elegant, fruity Chardonnay.
  • The nose explodes with flavours of fresh citrus and orange blossom.
  • The palate reveals green apple flavours and is full-bodied with good, balanced acidity, finishing with a lingering, yeasty aftertaste
  • The vines are all trellised, under micro-irrigation, and were established from 1983 to 1999
  • Fermentation takes place in tanks where it is allowed to naturally ferment (wild yeast)
  • After fermentation, which takes about three weeks, the wine is left on the lees for at least six months, stirred weekly.
  • This process of lees contact gives complexity and richness to the wine.
  • It is also known as the sur lie method. No oak is involved making this wine
Product Specification

Dreams are weird

They're like your brain's way of saying: you know what the world really needs? Nonsensical story lines that nobody questions and flying cars.

And even though we know they're absolutely bonkers and possess zero relevance whatsoever, we waste no time telling people all about them.

Sad fact: nobody wants to hear it. There is only one dream worth talking about, and that's Martin Luther King Jr's.

Anyhoo, last night we had a dream where we featured half off tickets to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers live at the Department of Home Affairs. They weren't even performing. They just worked there. Crazy, huh?
