About

Bunnahabhain's Eirigh Na Greine was originally released for the Travel Retail market, with its name meaning 'Morning Sky' in Gaelic. A portion of this single malt was matured in red wine casks, resulting in juicy berry notes throughout, blending well with the wafts of sea salt and orchard fruit. Eirigh Na Greine (pronounced Ae-ree ne gray-nyuh) is an alluringly complex small-batch single malt Scotch whisky containing a significant proportion of high-quality ex-red wine cask-matured Bunnahabhain whiskies of various ages. Only a limited number of cases are produced every year.

Our Master Distiller has perfected the recipe to ensure that Bunnahabhain's signature taste, which includes roasted nuts and fruits with hints of sea salt and smoke, is further enhanced by sweet, rich and spicy aromas imparted by the Italian and French red wine influence. It’s sumptuous amber-gold colour is reminiscent of a clear morning sky at Bunnahabhain. Eirigh Na Greine is beautifully presented in the Bunnahabhain 1L proprietary oak-coloured bottle with dual front labelling. A rich deep burgundy-coloured round tube, inspired by the Italian and French red wine influence, completes the presentation.

Reviews

"Nice tropical fruit, light smoke and decent oak. Honey, brown sugar, but not sweet, rather a dry sweetness that sometimes gives way to a pleasant sour note. Gentle spice. Not the typical Bunnahabhain, but a great expression highlighting the essential spirit." - Philip

"Possibly the best whisky i have tasted to date lovely on the palate"- Anonymous
