The Estate Range of wines was the first offering of Wildekrans’ repertoire when the farm began producing wines in the early 90s; the range reflects the values and integrity of the farm’s dedication to the wine-making process. The range pays tribute to the Wildekrans terroir and its process of minimum intervention, which produces bold, elegant wines with a dedicated undertone of oak influence. The Estate Range, although premium, is competitively priced and at all times strives to deliver the ultimate wine-drinking experience. Although the offering can be enjoyed upon purchase, it is a range that will benefit from some good oldfashioned ageing.

Tasting notes

A classic blend of our award-winning cultivars Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinotage. This wine shows intense cool climate elegance with flavours of blueberry, blackcurrant, lavender and white pepper. The palate is full and velvety with great balance between fruit and soft tannins, creating a long, lingering aftertaste. Pairs well with red meat and poultry.

Harvest notes

Harvested at 25 balling, handpicked and delicately crushed. Cold soaked through the night. Inoculated the next morning, pump-overs every 4 hours. Lightly pressed and matured in French oak barrels for 18 months.
