Lieben Chardonnay 2017 unfolds a bouquet of fragrant wildflowers, litchi and almond. Between citrus layers of lime and grapefruit, an elegant minerality fills the palate and leaves a lingering honeycomb finish laced with the subtle fragrance of new oak. Well balanced and with a rich deep colour. The chardonnay grapes are sourced from prime vineyard pockets in cool-climate Elgin. Not being able to age white wine is a complete misconception in South Africa. This beautiful Chard can easily hold for another 3-5 years. A seriously good addition to any white wine lover or collectors cellar.

The wine spent 12 months in French oak, of which 40% was new oak.
