Scholastic Phonics Readers is a series that includes easy-to-read ABC books, storybooks and non-fiction titles. These Readers carefully guide and support children, so they will be able to read these books on their own and have the early success they need to become fluent, lifelong readers. Phonics is essential for figuring out letter sounds and how to blend or put them together to read unknown words.
Each set contains 12 books which gradually increase in complexity, and audio CDs to aid in learning. These books are appealing to children and are designed to develop their reading skills.
Phonics Readers Level A
This set includes 12 books and 2 audio CDs. The alphabet, letter sounds, and beginning sight words are introduced.
Phonics Readers Level B
This set includes 12 books and 2 audio CDs. Consonants frequently found in words, short-vowel sounds, and additional sight words are featured.
Phonics Readers Level C
This set includes 12 books and 2 audio CDs. The blending of consonant-vowel sounds is presented. This skill enables children to read hundreds of words independently.
