About

Scala is distinguished by a specifically engineered high-end signature hinge. It features lost-wax casting, an intricate method of craftsmanship used in the making of fine jewellery an art that dates back as far as ancient Rome.

It's a process that requires the use of only the finest metals and alloys including copper and beryllium. The highly durable Nylon TR90 frame perfects the Scala model thanks to a stylish and unique design, while the mineral lens ensures you're seeing as much beauty as you're wearing.

At Serengeti we’re not just concerned with what’s in front of the eye, we are intensely focused on the eye itself. Helping people see more clearly is what drives all our innovation. By doing this, we’ve revolutionized the way the world looks at, and through, sunglasses. We are driven by vision and have been since the beginning. Our evolution over the past century follows an unparalleled path of achievements in technology, design, and performance.

Product Features

Mineral Lenses

Our mineral lenses begin with borosilicate optical glass from Corning, which can withstand extreme temperature changes, allowing you the best visual acuity you could ever experience. An anti-reflective coating is added to the backside of the lens, cancelling the scattering light that causes reflective glare. Plus, the lenses are chemically tempered to ensure scratch and impact resistance, then ground to perfection.

Nylon TR90

Using only the highest-quality injected Nylon TR90 for superior durability, these fashionable frames have the added benefit of being exceptionally light, chemically resistant, and extremely flexible and comfortable. Nylon TR90 is featured within styles in the Classic, Premium, and Sports Nylon Series.

Here at OneDayOnly we pride ourselves on two things:

Our remarkable ability to remember quotes from practically any movie, and our skill in catering to almost any person in South Africa.

The latter is the harder of the two, because A) we haven't met everyone in the R of SA and 2) our personal tastes can hardly be used as a benchmark for things other people may enjoy.

Still, through sheer determination and never-miss-an-episode viewings of Egoli and Generations, we like to think we hit the proverbial nail on the head more often than not.

And in the almost unfathomable event that we're completely wrong and nothing on our cyber-shelves appeals to you, we'd like to leave you with the following gem from Lord of the Rings:

"Use the force, Harry." - Edward Cullen.
