About

Many speciality coffee lovers drink their coffee as espresso. Of course, to make great espresso, you need a great espresso machine. This type of equipment may be available at home, at the office or at a café, but on the road, an espresso machine is pretty impractical! With the Nanopresso, Wacaco has finally given espresso lovers a great way to enjoy their beloved beverage while out and about.

The Nanopresso is actually the successor to the Minipresso, a very popular portable coffee maker in its own right. Having tried both versions, we feel that with this latest portable espresso maker, Wacaco has created the best device an espresso lover could hope for in the absence of a real espresso machine.

Compact, light and very easy to use, the Nanopresso is an elegant option to carry with you while travelling. Most importantly, it creates a surprisingly authentic and flavourful espresso experience! It is packed with new features and capabilities, which will drastically improve the way you prepare your favourite coffee, Nanopresso is one of the best and most versatile espresso machines. A truly unique addition to your coffee toolkit!

Product Features

Ground

  • Massive Power:
    • Built around a newly patented pumping system, the Nanopresso is capable of reaching, with the help of your hands, a maximum of 18 bars (261 PSI) of stable pressure during extraction for unparalleled coffee quality. It is more than what most home espresso machines can deliver.
  • Easier than Ever:
    • The Nanopresso works best with finely ground coffee that is tamped hard.  It is delightfully easy to operate and simple to use.  The Nanopresso requires 15% less force to pump compared to previous models (1st generation Minipresso). With Nanopresso, the power is in the machine, not in your hands.
  • The Smallest:
    • Nanopresso’s ergonomic design and shorter length (15,6 cm) make it your travel companion of choice. Easy to hold and easy to pack!
  • Even Lighter:
    • At just 336 grams, Nanopresso is engineered to be extremely light. Yet, designed to go wherever you go, its construction delivers a reassuringly solid feel.
  • More Water Capacity:
    • The Nanopresso water tank can hold up to 80ml of water. It's lined and protected by the detachable cup. Both parts feature a heatsink pattern to absorb and protect the hands from heat.
  • New Portafilter Design
    • After each shot, Nanopresso maintenance takes only a few seconds. When necessary, every component of the portafilter is easily separated for deep cleaning.

What's cookin', good lookin'?

In the Northern Hemisphere, typical Western festive foods include things like stuffed turkey, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce. There's usually snow outside and Mariah Carey and Michael Bublé playing in every mall. In South Africa, we still have Carey and Bublé everywhere, but no snow, and every family kind of decides what their own traditional feast will be. From honey-glazed gammon to snoek on the fire, or even just takeouts, we all just kind of do what we like.

One festive dish we simply cannot recommend enough, though, is pig trotters! No kidding! Sure, they take a helluva long time to cook (about 4 hours), they smell kinda funky and taste even weirder, but with enough salt, pepper, spice and desperation, they're not bad! And the best part is, they're a great source of collagen, which we all know is the latest craze as far as healthy skin and bones is concerned!

Alternatively, you can skip the pig trotters and just check out our main deal on 2 x 700g jars of Harvest Table collagen granules. They probably taste better and won't stink up your kitchen, either.
