The Limited Edition Mann Egerton Hand Assembled Glider Trafford Steel men’s watch draws its name from Air Chief Marshal Sir Trafford Leigh-Mallory and the airborne strategy behind the D-Day landings. As commander of the Allied Expeditionary Air Forces, Leigh-Mallory oversaw operations that relied heavily on military gliders to deliver troops into occupied territory under cover of darkness. Silent, precise and dependent on preparation, glider forces reflected the importance of planning, coordination and engineering support.
The watch is powered by a Seiko TMI VD53 quartz movement, delivering exceptional reliability and consistency and delivering silent performance. The dial ombres from flame-red into a midnight-black border and features three functional subdials. Strong luminous hands ensure clear legibility, reinforcing the model’s functional character. These features are all housed within a robust alloy case.
A Mann Egerton logo-engraved stainless steel caseback secures the piece. A deep-black top-layer calf leather strap adds the crucial finishing touches. Everything combines seamlessly to create a practical, service-led watch built around utility and purpose.
