Oh, how times have changed since the days of landline telephones and dial-up internet with MSN chat and MySpace. Back then, if you didn't want to speak to someone, you'd just be mindful of not answering the phone when it rang - although you'd have no idea who was calling (like, ever) so you might have missed a call telling you you'd won the lotto.

Time and again, though, it was not the lotto, but Janice. She'd once again give you hell for missing her book club the other night.
