About

Surrounded by natural Fynbos and rocky soil, the vineyards produce robust and idiosyncratic wines. The cool breeze delivered via Walker Bay in the evenings creates wines of a completely different character than that one will find in the Winelands. Being a small cellar, Spookfontein has the time to put a little extra love and devotion into their work. The cellar is their pride, and if we have to believe visitors, rightfully so. Come and join us for a taste of the upper Hemel-and-Aarde Valley.

Product Features
  • Born in Spookfontein's nineteen-year-old vineyards this wine is alluring and persistent with dark berry fruit and roasted pepper aromas.
  • Defined by the characteristic elegance of red wines from cold climates it offers silky tannins and a lingering finish.
  • The structure and bouquet are complemented and harmonized with the maturation in French oak of first, second and third use for a period of 10 months.
  • 90 Point Tim Atkins

We're big believers in retail therapy

The stats we're presenting here are based purely on our staff, who make up a tiny percentage of the general population, but they tell us that 100% of our staff that ordered something online exhibited signs of excitement when that thing was delivered.

We know the saying "Money can't buy happiness", but you don't often see someone crying on a jetski - and not just because all that water splashing around would make it hard to identify the tears in the first place.

Although we do have to ask: if our savings are this good, shouldn't we be calling it discount therapy instead?
