Why be cool when you can be ice cold?
Humans. You've gotta hand it to us for our ingenuity. Back in the day, using leeches in medicine was common practice. Apparently these living boogers are great at preventing blood clots. Thankfully, we ended up inventing medicine that does the same thing without all the grossness.
We then went on to invent all kinds of ways of heating up our water for those beloved hot showers and baths, with bubbles and rubber duckies, just for someone somewhere to discover that ice cold baths were actually what we should have been doing all along.
