The SnoreWizard is a very effective device that is designed to move the lower jaw slightly forward, its a bit like a gum shield and it fits over the lower teeth with a small tab at the back and the upper teeth sit comfortably in a channel.

It’s made out of soft plastic and comfortable to wear. Unlike hard plastic devices that have to be heated and moulded to your teeth shape, the SnoreWizard is made in a semi-soft plastic that fits the shape of most peoples jaws, as the front jaw profile does not vary greatly.

In most cases, snoring is the sound made by vibrations of the soft palate and other tissue in the mouth and throat caused by turbulence inside the airway when breathing in. The snoring or turbulence is caused by a partial blockage which can be located at the soft palate near the back of the throat. This only occurs during sleep, when the muscles relax and there is insufficient muscle tone to stop the airway tissue from vibrating. During waking hours, muscle tone keeps the airway clear and that is why people do not snore when they are awake.
