In celebration of World Elephant Day on Tuesday 12th August, spoil yourself to a 90-minute Interactive Elephant Experience in Hoedspruit, Limpopo.

Elephant Moments is a respectful and memorable 90-minute early morning experience where visitors have the chance to learn invaluable insights about elephants and get the opportunity to meet two to three of these gentle giants. The Jabulani Herd has inspired many people around the world with their stories of rescue and survival, due to the human-elephant conflict that continues to threaten elephants as a species. 

Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation and Development (HERD) provides a safe place for the herd to thrive in a semi-wild environment, visitors will also have an opportunity to provide some elephant snacks to each elephant, as well as a chance to take a snapshot memory of the memorable experience, with the guidance of the carers. Following your Elephant Moments experience, you will have the opportunity to purchase a souvenir in our gift shop, with proceeds going towards the HERD TRUST.

This Package Includes

• This deal is for 1x adult (1x child between 6-12 years old can visit for free with one adult ticket purchased).
• 1x 1-hour 30-minute Elephant Experience with a personalised introduction and interaction hosted by our elephant carers.
• 06:30 - 08:00 daily.

Additional Information

• Arrive 06:00 am and self-drive through the KAPAMA GAME RESERVE MAIN GATE on the R40 between Hoedspruit and Klaserie. 
• Follow the Elephant sanctuary road signs to the elephant experience. 
• It is a gravel road through the reserve and the traveling time is approximately 20 minutes. 
• The elephant experience starts at 06:25.
• Weather permitting.
