About 

Team Kilimanjaro's relationship with Kilimanjaro began in March 2000 when our founder speed-climbed Kilimanjaro on his first expedition to the mountain. TK began offering climbs in June 2004 and by 2019 had assisted their 10,000th trekker to Kilimanjaro's summit.

Our mountain staff are divided into close-knit teams each led by a chief guide who reports daily from the mountain, directly to our Expedition Coordinator. Consistently excellent performance is demanded by the British management who are available night and day to deal with contingencies and to oversee the planning and preparation of all expeditions.

TK’s staffing procedures are entirely unique. Allocation of work to our guides, cooks and porters is strictly on the basis of merit, continued performance and positive feedback from climbers. In this way with all members of Team Kilimanjaro on permanent assessment we aim to guarantee against complacency and waning performance and to create a healthy and competitive ethos in which hard work, reliability and punctuality are rewarded.

This Package Includes

9 Nights in Total for a Solo or Double Climb

• 1 night pre-climb 
• 8 day climb (7 nights)
• 1 overnight stay at end of climb in Arusha

Kilimanjaro Advantage Plus Series climb includes:

• All climb costs, salaries, food while on the mountain, park fees, etc (excluding tips)
• All transfers to the mountain and back to your Arusha hotel again
• Pick up at Kilimanjaro Airport and transfer to your hotel in Arusha
• A night’s accommodation both before and after the climb* (2 nights in total at The Outpost Lodge, booked on a B&B basis - breakfast only)
• Transfers back to Kilimanjaro Airport for your return flights
• Stand-up sleeping tent with vestibule (where meals are taken), 6-inch thick sleeping mattress, toilet tent (with bath to wash in, portable mounted toilet & aluminium pot with jug to wash with)
• Climber to staff ratio: 1: 6-9
• Meet and greet service at JRO / ARK
• Senior guide, chef and support crew
• Local SIM Card with loaded data
• Photography on the mountain for live climbers reports page
• Kit hire from TK (assuming that the group size is less than 8 climbers)

*Accommodation is on a B&B basis in our standard accommodation at The Outpost Lodge (subject to availability). If clients wish to upgrade their inclusive accommodation for a surcharge, please refer to the Hotels page on our website

This Package Excludes

• Flights or overland transfers to Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha town if approaching from Nairobi
• Visas
• Tips to the mountain staff – please see the Tipping page on our website for further information and advice on tipping
• Meals other than breakfast while in Arusha
• Additional nights beyond the two standard hotel nights included
• Hotel upgrade costs if you decide to request an alternative hotel to the standard
• Items considered to be non-essential, such as alcohol and other beverages, cigarettes, snacks, etc.
