• Visas (South African passport holders receive a free 30-day visa on arrival; passport must be valid for 6 months beyond travel with at least 3 blank pages)
• USD 22 per person per stay for Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC): The mandatory travel insurance must be obtained exclusively through Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC). Travellers should visit the official Zanzibar tourism website at https://visitzanzibar.go.tz to complete their insurance application directly. It is strongly advised to comply with this requirement to avoid any travel disruptions at the point of entry.
• Visas ($50 - $100) obtained upon arrival in Zanzibar (South African passport holders do not need to pay for a visa to enter Zanzibar)
• USD 5 per person per day new infrastructure tax imposed by the Zanzibar Revenue Board. This tax is charged directly on the hotel bill and is payable to the hotel directly upon checkout. Applicable to both adults and children

• FlySafair departs for Zanzibar every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
• The Thursday flight is an overnight departure. An optional Late Check-out Supplement is available for Thursday departures, so guests can enjoy hotel facilities until departing for the airport.
• Flying to Zanzibar: It is recommended that you arrive at the airport 3 hours prior to departure.
