DEXADERM™ Baby Nappy Rash Ointment for sensitive skin can be used for the management and prevention of nappy rash in both babies and adults.
Product Features
Nappy rash is the term applied to skin rashes in the nappy area. The rash can be red and painful.
For sensitive skin
Dexaderm contains dexpanthenol (D-panthenol), the precursor of vitamin B5. Dexpanthenol has moisturising properties and when used in skin preparations it acts as a humectant (a substance that absorbs or helps retain moisture), an emollient (a substance that softens or soothes the skin) and a moisturiser (a substance that makes the external layers of the skin softer and more pliable).
For babies and adults
Also for nursing mothers with cracked or sore nipples
Always carefully clean and dry the affected area thoroughly before applying DexaDerm™.
Apply at each nappy change.
For sore and cracked nipples:
Nursing mothers can apply DexaDerm™ to the nipples after each breastfeed. Gently rub the ointment in until it is evenly distributed. Be sure to remove residual ointment before the next feed.
Wash your hands immediately after using DexaDerm™.
