Contemporary and versatile, the 50L Smart Bin comes in either silver or matt black finish. Its robust design makes it ideal for use in the home, office, play areas and kitchens or any communal area where the hands-free aspect of the bin helps reduce the spread of germs and cross-contamination by eliminating the need for any human touch.
The automatic closing function will quickly trap any odors from escaping. The Smart Bin utilises a patented infrared sensor that responds to a quick wave of the hand to open the lid automatically.
The lid will remain open for as long as you are busy around the sensor area and will close after 5 seconds when no activity is detected. Alternatively, you can simply wave over the sensor to reset the built-in 5-second count down that closes the lid automatically when you have finished using the Bin.
This top-of-the-range sensor is built-in with a 'power saving' feature that extends the life of the batteries. The bin is fitted with a retainer ring that is specially designed to hold bin liners securely in place and stop them from bunching up or slipping into the bin. This retainer ring makes replacing the bin bag a quicker and more hassle-free process. Just unclip the ring, put the new bag in and clip the ring back in place.
With South Africa being home to so many different languages, we certainly have our work cut out for us when we look at all the different slang terms we use on a daily basis - not to mention Gen Z and their unique vernacular, which is always 'giving'... we're not sure what.
There are multiple ways to say the same thing in South Africa. 'Bro' can be 'bruh' or 'brah' depending on where you're from, and can also be anything from 'boet' to 'ntwana yam', depending on who you're talking to. 'Cool' can be 'kwaai', 'jas', 'lekker' and any number of other terms.
One phrase that isn't necessarily South African but is understood by everyone is 'cruising for a bruising' - which is exactly what France was last weekend, and what England are sure to be soon. Speaking of cruising, check out our deal on a 4-night cruise for 2 people aboard the MSC Splendida! How kwaai is that?
