STREPA’LERT® is a simple at-home screening test that helps identify Group A β-hemolytic streptococcus the main bacterial cause of strep throat. While most sore throats are viral and don’t need antibiotics, Strep A infections may require treatment to prevent complications such as rheumatic fever or acute kidney inflammation.
