This moissanite stone is composed of silicon carbide found in the crater left behind by a fallen meteor in 1893 by Henri Moissan. They sparkle bright and do not change colour or become cloudy. Loose-round moissanite stones are beautifully faceted gems that are round in shape with 57 facets, cut to perfect symmetry and proportions in order to display the most return of light. Round-cut stones are sometimes called round brilliant cuts because of the brilliant-cut most of them display.
