We love a good party. Apparently, Pinarello does as well. To celebrate 20 years of producing the best bikes in the business, Pinarello created the Limited Edition Dogma F8 La Ventesima. These complete bikes were ridden couple of times by dealers and guests at the Pinarello Gran Fondo and are kitted out with the SRAM eTap.

DOGMA F8 achieves new significant numerical data, but more importantly, maintains the unique driving feeling, which made previous Pinarello Dogma bikes unbeatable. Product Features

• Maintain same handling: To guarantee the same ride feeling as the Dogma 65.1. We want to allow every rider to get on board the new bike and experience the improvements, certain that it would behave as his previous Pinarello bike, agile and precise in every corner. So we used same geometries (13 sizes allow every rider to find the frame which best accommodates his body), and same tapered headset of Dogma 65.1 (top bearing 1”1/8, bottom bearing 1”1/2).
• Increase powertrain stiffness and vertical compliance: To avoid any waste of energy and to have a more balanced behaviour of the bike. The power transfer happens especially through the head tube, down tube, bottom bracket and chainstays: more stiffness is required in these zones to lessen energy wasting deflections and increase the power transfer between the rider and the rear wheel. Then, if the “upper part” of the frame (seat stays and seat tube) is properly designed, it can easily absorb the terrain roughness, assuring a more comfortable ride. We’ve used a new material and improved the asymmetry concept to reach this.
• Reduce air drag: To reduce any waste of energy due to air resistance. We used new tubing sections and deeply analyzed the interaction of every component, to optimize the airflow along the bike.
• Reduce the weight: To reduce the energy needed in a hilly route or climbs. Furthermore, this would also reduce the bike’s inertia, allowing quicker accelerations and braking. The use of a new material, the optimization of the tubing sections and the new development of the asymmetry concept help us to reach this purpose.
• Frame asymmetry: Well known in Pinarello design, the sections’ asymmetry improves the symmetry (balance) in response to the stresses. The power transmission from the rider’s legs to the rear wheel hub happens through pedals and cranks, crankset, chain and sprockets. Most of these components are positioned on the right side of the bike, while the rider’s force is applied on both sides of the bike.
• Torayca T1100 1K carbon fibre: In our Dogma F8 the best fibre used is the newly developed T1100G, which has the highest tensile strength in the world. This choice contributes to increasing the impact strength, to prevent breakages. Furthermore, we use T1100G prepreg with a new nanoalloy technology resin system, which also contributes to improving the impact strength.
• Flatback profiles: Following previous concepts, we used Flatback profiles as sections for the new tubes developed. This choice guarantees sections that, on one hand ensure the necessary stiffness (we kept the required width) and on the other hand allow good aerodynamic performance
• With SRAM RED eTap Shifters: SRAM RED® eTap features race-car-inspired paddle shift logic that virtually eliminates mistaking upshifts for downshifts while keeping shifting precise, fast, and easy. It’s a logic that is simplified for speed: right lever makes it harder, left lever makes it easier, both levers to change the front ring. Our revised ErgoFit™ controls seamlessly connect rider and machine with Reach Adjust™ to fit any hand. You’ll shift more, with less effort and spend less time doing it. Carbon ErgoBlade™ levers and large SRAM eTap paddles provide positive controls for rider input. It's a wireless connection via AIREA™ network for fast and clean installation.
