The promoters of this competition are OneDayOnly.co.za (OneDayOnly / ODO) and Nu Metro Cinemas (Nu Metro).
The judge's decision is final and binding and no correspondence or negotiations will be entered into.
All participants agree to be bound by the competition rules.
Competition Period: The competition commences at 08:00 on Thursday 3 May 2018 and will terminate at midnight on Thursday 24 May 2018. Entries received before the start date of the promotion will not be valid; no late entries will be accepted.
Prize: The winner will receive a Nu Metro Cinemas VIP card valued at R15 000. The VIP card entitles the bearer to 2 (two) Nu Metro movie tickets per week for the period of 12 (twelve) months. The card is subject to standard Nu Metro VIP Card terms and conditions (see point 17 below).
Entry Mechanism: To stand a chance to win:
Entrants must subscribe to receive the OneDayOnly daily newsletter via one of the competition entry channels.
All participants must remain subscribed to OneDayOnly at the time of the prize draw in order to be eligible to win.
Entrants must agree to receive communication from Nu Metro.
Submissions: Entry is limited to one entry per participant.
Prize Draw: The winners will be randomly selected on Monday 28 May 2018 and contacted by OneDayOnly.co.za via the email address provided. The winner will be required to submit valid identification before receiving the prize. If a winner does not respond within 3 days of making contact, OneDayOnly and Nu Metro reserve the right to draw a replacement winner; in this event, the original winner will forfeit the prize
Winner announcement: The winners will be announced on selected OneDayOnly and Nu Metro social media platforms and contacted via email.
Individuals eligible to enter competition: The competition is open to SA residents, in possession of a valid South African ID Document, who are over 18 years of age. Directors, employees, agents (including advertising agencies) of OneDayOnly and Nu Metro, and their immediate families, are excluded from entry.
Publishing winner's name: Winners agree that OneDayOnly and Nu Metro may publish their name and photographic images on OneDayOnly and Nu Metro marketing platforms including (but not limited to) the websites, newsletters and social media platforms. OneDayOnly and Nu Metro may request the winners to participate in marketing activities for publicity purposes, but the winners may decline such invitation.
Competition disclaimer: OneDayOnly and Nu Metro, and their associated companies, agents and contractors assume no liability whatsoever for any direct or indirect loss, damage, death, personal injuries, defamation, invasion of privacy or claims based on publicity rights arising in connection with this competition and/or promotional offer.
Cancellation: OneDayOnly and Nu Metro reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel or suspend any competition or promotion. In such event, where a competition or promotion is cancelled or suspended, all participants or entrants agree to waive any rights that they may have in terms of the competition and acknowledge that they have no recourse against OneDayOnly and Nu Metro, their employees, agents, partners, suppliers, sponsors or promoters.
System Failure: No member of OneDayOnly and Nu Metro is responsible for lost, delayed, misdirected, internet or computer malfunctions, errors in transmission or any condition beyond the control of OneDayOnly and Nu Metro which may cause the competition to be disrupted or corrupted.
Vouchers: New subscribers, who subscribe to OneDayOnly through this competition mechanic, will be awarded a R50 OneDayOnly voucher. This voucher code will be sent to new subscribers in the form of a unique voucher code via the email address provided on subscription. This voucher is valid for one month from the date of receipt and is a single- purpose voucher which can only be redeemed on OneDayOnly.co.za and may not be exchanged for cash.
Any violation or attempt to violate any of the above terms and conditions will result in immediate disqualification of the participant or entrant.
Nu Metro Cinemas VIP Card terms and conditions:
The cardholder is entitled to 2 (two) free movie tickets per week, for the period of 12 months from the date of issue.
Each card is valid for two people (the cardholder and a guest) for any movie that does not have a complimentary restriction,any show, any day of the week.
The card is valid for regular 2D, regular 3D, Scene VIP or Scene Xtreme movie tickets.
The card is not valid at 4DX or Pantheon Cinemas.
Each movie may only be seen once.
The card excludes any additional confectionery and/or 3D glasses that may be required.
Due to the large demand on Nu Metro films during opening week, the card is only valid from a films’ second week of release. Please check newspaper directories or ask Nu Metro cinema staff for assistance in this regard.
The use of this card is valid only at Nu Metro Cinemas ticket counters. The card cannot be used for telephonic or online bookings.
The card is not transferable and may not be used by anyone other than you, as depicted by the name on the card.
Nu Metro Cinemas reserves the right to ask for identification from the patron who presents the card.
Should management become aware of a card being abused, the directors of Nu Metro Cinemas reserve the right to withdraw the card.
The directors of Nu Metro Cinemas reserve the right to cancel this card at their discretion at any time.
